In addition, the reader is being provided with comparative insights into the architectural work of other countries from which social, cultural as well as town-planning and architectural conclusions can be drawn. In a supplement, the constructional events are being chronologically integrated into the general historical framework. This publication shall also be understood to imply an initial step on the road towards a complex history of architecture of the GDR.
