Summary:

Recordings of a public lecture held Jan. 24, 2002 at the Canadian Centre for Architecture, Montréal. Using maps, drawings, engravings, and photographs that depict Montreal from different view points, Julia Gersovitz discusses Montreal's growth during the 18th and 19th centuries. The event was held in collaboration with Heritage Montreal, as the first of five lectures in a series entitled "Perspectives". Includes opening and closing remarks by Nancy Dunton, as well as remarks by Dinu Bumbaru.
