Summary:

"Abridged version" of an autobiographical text by Maxwell Fry. The text is in 4 pts. The 1st pt. consists of a foreword and 4 chapters entitled "England"; pts. [2]-[4] are entitled respectively: "West Africa : the army", "West Africa : planning" and "West Africa : building". For each pt. there is a list of the number of words in each chapter. A summary list of the words in the abridged version, dated Jan. 2, 1985, is bound with pt. [1]. Pts. [3]-[4] are preceded by "notes" with comments adressed to the author (3 leaves, typescript, dated Dec. 14, 1984, and 4 leaves, ms., dated Jan. 1, 1985).
