Personal souvenir album of Gustave Umbdenstock, architect of the Palais national de la république française at the Saint-Louis exposition of 1904. Contents include views of the building and grounds as well as of some of the other exposition buildings. There are also newspaper clippings, menus, telegrams, sketches, correspondence, periodicals, etc.
Included are original photographs, photomechanical reproductions, printed and colour-printed matter, pen-and-ink sketches. Most of the album leaves are on guards, and include laid paper watermarked DAMBRICOURT FRERES, wove paper, and heavy card stock. Part of the contents is inlaid, part mounted.
The album is bound in blue three-quarter morocco with marbled sides and endpapers.
