Some monographs have been catalogued separately.
There is some correspondence on letterhead of David A. Hanks & Associates in the Ann Hatfield Rothschild collection at the Canadian Centre for Architecture (CCA). The CCA collection also includes 91 drawings for the Hanks-Paré Residence, Tuxedo Park, New York (DR1991:0024:001-074 and DR2010:0013:001-017). There is a David A. Hanks Research Collection at the Indianapolis Museum of Art Library.

Summary:

Consists primarily of David Hanks' research files for his 1979 publication "The decorative designs of Frank Lloyd Wright", as well as material from the Domino's Center for Architecture & Design archives, plus material resulting from research carried out for various exhibitions and for the restoration of several Frank Lloyd Wright houses. An addition to the collection received in 2021 is composed of drawings, correspondence and textual records related to the exhibition "High Styles" at the Whitney Museum of American Art (September 19, 1985-February 16, 1986) and photographic materials, drawings and textual records related to the Francis W. Little house, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and built between 1912 and 1914 in Wayzata, Minnesota (demolished 1972).

Biographical note:

David A. Hanks is a curator. He is President of David A. Hanks & Associates (founded 1980), a firm providing curatorial services to museums and collectors. He is a former decorative arts consultant to Domino's Pizza.
