Summary:

Miguel Lawner Steinman (b. Chile 1928) along with his wife Anamaria Barrenechea and Francisco Ehijo founded BEL Arquitectos, a architectural firm that for 50 years has won Chilean and international recognition. He was arrested in 1973 during the military regime of Pinochet and later exiled in Denmark till 1984. De present memoirs reflect his ideals and richness of the new materials and constructive techniques of modern architecture and its social function.
