On verso of half-title page: "Of this first printing of 'Prisons' by Aldous Huxley, 212 copies have been made on Renage paper of pure rag all of which are signed by the author. One hundred numbered copies are reserved for The Trianon Press, Cobham, Surry, England and for The Grey Falcon Press, 5203 Pennway St., Philadelphia. One hundred numbered copies are reserved for Zeitlin & Ver Brugge, Los Angeles, California. Twelve copies numbered A to L, 'hors commerce' for the author, the publishers and their associates. The text, which has been set entirely by hand in a new 20 point Caslon of the Fonderie Radiguer, is printed by Jourde & Allard, master-printers in Paris. Lettrine by J.A. Carlotti. The etchings are reproduced by Aulard. The book was designed by Arnold Fawcus. No. ..."
