Summary:

Max Taut, like his older brother Bruno Taut, is one of the outstanding architects of new building architecture in the 20th century. The iron concrete and steel frame constructions of the buildings that he had realized were decisive for a factual, purpose-oriented construction. Taut designed trade union houses in Berlin and Frankfurt am Main as well as numerous school buildings, thus giving the social movement and the idea of reform education an architectural identity. Later he saw his essential task in residential and housing construction.
