- This album contains 21 transfer lithographs of contract and working drawings for the Chambre des Notaires, Paris. The transfer lithographs of the contract drawings (DR1974:0002:022:002, DR1974:0002:022:003 and DR1974:0002:022:005 - DR1974:0002:022:011) are signed by architects Charles Rohault de Fleury and Auguste Joseph Pellechet (Hillairet, 393), and by six unidentified hands, probably those of the contractors and/or client(s). Several revisions are evident between these transfer lithographs, dated April 1855, and the transfer lithographs of the working drawings, predominantly dated June 1855 (DR1974:0002:022:001 and DR1974:0002:022:012 - DR1974:0002:022:018). Minor changes have been made in the distribution of spaces on all floors, while more significant changes have been made in the dimensions and design of the façade bays (Bergdoll). Rohault de Fleury considered three alternate elevations (DR1974:0002:022:019 - DR1974:0002:022:021) for the principal façade with different column dispositions and window designs. The basic arrangement of the façade, however, remained the same: three floors each carrying a different order, separated by prominent entablatures and surmounted by an attic roof with dormer windows. The façade as constructed most closely approximates the elevations on transfer lithographs DR1974:0002:022:001 and DR1974:0002:022:002. The floor plans, with their detailed measurements, also correspond quite closely to the building as constructed (Bergdoll). The plans are particularly informative concerning the mixed use of iron and masonry construction. The "soubassement" consists of numerous masonry supports spanned by iron beams, while the "rez-de-chaussée" and "entresol" are constructed of iron columns, beams, and lintels allowing for abundant fenestration on the side façades (DR1974:0002:022:003 - DR1974:0002:022:004). The upper stories then revert back to a construction similar to that of the "soubassement".

- This album contains prints and drawings - primarily design development and presentation drawings - mainly for projects for ideal hospitals and for the unexecuted redevelopment of the École de médecine and the surrounding area in Paris by Hubert Rohault de Fleury. Projects for ideal hospitals include: two block plans for hospitals for 400 patients on the site of Hôtel-Dieu (DR1974:0002:008:002 - DR1974:0002:008:003); nine site plans coloured with wash for hospitals for varying numbers of patients, eight of which are for a site near the barrière de Monceau (DR1974:0002:008:010 - DR1974:0002:008:014 and DR1974:0002:008:017 - DR1974:0002:008:020); five block plans for hospitals with no site indicated (DR1974:0002:008:004 - DR1974:0002:008:008); and plans, sections and elevations, most coloured with wash or watercolour, for a more developed project for an ideal hospital for 1000 to 1200 patients with no site indicated (DR1974:0002:008:022 - DR1974:0002:008:025, DR1974:0002:008:027 - DR1974:0002:008:028). The five other drawings for hospitals included in this album are apparently related to the nine site plans (DR1974:0002:008:015, DR1974:0002:008:016, DR1974:0002:008:021, DR1974:0002:008:029, and DR1974:0002:008:030). Also included are several designs for a classically-inspired fountain to be located at the entrance to the Clinique de l'École de médecine (DR1974:0002:008:042 - DR1974:0002:008:049), and drawings for the Académie de médecine, an institution which was probably housed at the École de médecine during this period (DR1974:0002:008:065 - DR1974:0002:008:068). Many of the drawings are inscribed with illegible or partially legible notations concerning the project's location, client, date and other particulars. There are seven drawings for a house on rue d'Aguesseau, Paris, probably the Rohault de Fleury family residence (DR1974:0002:035:002 - DR1974:OOO2:035:006 R/V) and several drawings for a house for Rohault de Fleury's uncle on rue Saint-Romain, Paris (DR1974:0002:035:012 V). Several drawings are after plates published in Durand's "Précis des Leçons d'architecture données à l'école Royale Polytechnique (1802-1805)": plans on drawings DR1974:0002:035:011 V, DR1974:0002:035:012 R are adapted from plate 25 and combined with façades designed by Rohault de Fleury, and drawing DR1974:0002:035:013 R is based on an engraving by Charles-Pierre-Joseph Normand (pl. 23) of Hôtel Lathuille in Paris which was designed by Jean-Nicolas-Louis Durand (1788). Perspective sketches and plans are included for the restoration of a château in Rocheux [?] for M. le Trône (DR1974:0002:035:017 R) and for the renovation for the house at Domaine de la Vallée (DR1974:0002:035:020). The drawing for a country villa was executed in 1804, while Rohault de Fleury was in Rome studying at the French Academy (DR1974:0002:035:021 R). The conceptual drawing of a small "orchestre" and the elevations of a gallery and portico gate are inscribed "Jardin du Frascati", and are perhaps travel sketches or projects executed while Rohault de Fleury was in Rome (DR1974:0002:035:032 V, DR1974:002:035:033 R, and DR1974:0002:035:034). Also included in the album are two plans for part of the Passage du saumon in Paris (DR1974:0002:035:014 R), a plan, elevation and section for a rustic pavilion for M. Abrial (DR1974:0002:035:024 V), a plan for a shepherd's house in St. Cueufin [?] (DR1974:0002:035:021 V), a house for M.
