This project series contains seven reproductions of drawings displayed in the exhibit to document the Casal das Figueiras neighbourhood, in Setúbal, south of Lisbon, Portugal. The exhibit text explained that: ... the Setúbal port-city experienced the political vibrations of the revolutionary year with great intensity. The Casal das Figueiras neighbourhood was designed for a fishing community living in a difficult area to build on due to its steep incline. The challenge that the project architect Gonçalo Byrne faced was to maintain the structure of single-family housing with the outhouse or courtyard, the typology that the local populations requested, while making a large urban gesture. The proposal was based on two types of housing (the square and rectangular plans). This overcame the problem of the 36 percent slope in an architecturally striking manner, while it also managed to fulfil the major requirement inherent in any SAAL operation of minimizing costs. (The SAAL Process, Housing in Portugal 1974–76) Gonçalo Byrne worked for SAAL/Lisbon and Central South with Ana Ferreira Rebocho, Berta Sá Caetano and the residents' association Casal das Figueiras, that was founded on October 30th, 1975. The project included 420 dwellings. The operation began in July 1975 , with a construction date in October 1976. This project series contains reproductions of implementation plans and design development drawings. The original drawings were produced in 1978-1979 and were reproduced in 2015 for the exhibit.

This project series documents a competition for the Ciudad del Flamenco de Jerez de la Frontera in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. While the records were held in the office’s archives this project was assigned the number 56/00. The office assigned the date 2002 to this project. The competition for the Ciudad del Flamenco was part of an urban revitalization project for the historic center of Jerez. The competition was organized by the Ayuntamiento de Jerez. Six proposals were presented to the jury, including a design by Àlvaro Siza and Juan Miguel Hernández León. The project included the design of an auditorium, a museum, a documentation and research center, a school, and communal spaces. The buildings were to host The National Auditorium of Flamenco Art, the Museum and the Center for Investigation, and Documentation of the Art of Flamenco (CIDAF). The proposal was "a complex of prisms and courtyards wisely articulated between one another, rounded off by a sculptural trapezoidal and cantilevering piece'' (http://ciudaddelflamenco.jerez.es/flash/concurso.pdf p. 6). Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron's proposal won the competition. Documenting this project are studies, competition drawings, and plans. Textual documentation includes correspondence with the client and competition documentation.

Project series documents Cornelia Hahn Oberlander's project for the landscape of Robson Square Provincial Government Complex in Vancouver, British Columbia. Oberlander worked on this project in 1974-1982 with architect Arthur Erickson and architect Bing Thom. The project consisted in designing a new provincial civic complex that included a courthouse and provincial government offices. The initial plan consisted in a 55-storey highrise. Arthur Erickson suggested to lay the building on its side and spread it accross three city blocks (known as Block 51, Block 61 and Block 71) and add a green roof to create linear park. Oberlander's ideas for the landscape concept was to create a space accessible for everyone that will be attractive and interesting in all seasons. Her design consisted in a series of pathways, stairs and terraces, mainly situated on Block 61, and rising gradually up to 30 feets above the Robson street level. The design was intented to "encourage pedestrians to cut accross the urban grid". [1] Planters where included to buildings facades to create a hanging garden using hanging plants. The project series contains design development drawings and working drawings for the landscape design, such as landscape plans, landscape sections, elevations and details, grading and irrigation plans, and planting plans. The drawings includes in this project series also comprises plans of the complex buildings used as reference. The majority of the drawings are reprographic copies. The series also comprises five original sketches by Oberlander. The project is also documented through interior and exterior photographs of the building, photographs of the landscape and various views of the completed complex. The project series also includes textual records, including documents related to the plants selection, specifications, financial documents, concept development notes of Oberlander, correspondence with architects, clients and consultants, documentation and research material, and clippings and articles on Robson Square project. This project was submitted to the International Architectural Exhibition Berlin competition (International Bauaustellung, IBA, circa 1979-1987), an urban renewal strategy for West Berlin, Germany. Siza had previously submitted three other projects to this competition: the Görtlitzer Bad swimming pool, Block 70 and 89 (Fränkelufer residential complex), and Block 121 (Bonjour Tristesse), which was his first built international project. He would later submit design proposals for two other projects: Monument to Gestapo victims Prinz-Albrecht-Palais and the Kulturforum. The design proposal for Block 11-12 was for a residential building on Kottbusserstrasse in Kreuzberg. Documenting the design proposal are drawings, photographs, negatives, slides, and textual documentation. Among the drawings are sketches, studies, elevations, floor plans, and site plans. Photographs and negatives depict the project site and surrounding area; additionally there are slides of drawings and the model. Also included is a work contract from the IBA signed by Siza and IBA official Hardt-Waltherr Hämer, as well as several notes and calculations.
