Résumé:
Since the founding of the AA Diploma degree almost a century ago, the AA has awarded a special prize each year to the student or students whose graduating project offers work of an exceptionally high standard. The resulting Diploma Honours projects are then traditionally exhibited at the AA at the start of the following academic year. To commemorate this ritual, this new annual series will be published in tandem with the AA exhibition, and in addition to the design projects themselves (this year by four students: Friedrich Grafling, Ja Kyung Kim, Mond Qu and Antoine Vaxelaire), the book contains a short commentary by each of the students' AA tutors.

Résumé:
Dedicated to the work of Wespi de Meuron Romeo, a Swiss/Italian office based in Ticino, the southernmost canton of Switzerland. Markus Wespi and Jérôme de Meuron draw as much inspiration from the blend of cultures which surrounds them as from their own architectural philosophy, one which seeks the utmost harmony between forms of habitat and nature. The houses the office has conceived and realized are natural elements of the landscapes in which they are situated. Distinctive in the use of materials, especially bare concrete and natural stone, their particular qualities are presented here in an array of large photographs, renderings and technical drawings.

New catalogue from Aedes am Pfefferberg. The exhibition explores the conceptions, input, processes, as well as unpredictable deviations which result in the spaces of built work. While buildings are made for specific purposes, subject to analysis, calculation, and evaluation, de facto human activities can never be fully anticipated. They just happen. And in doing so, they alter the course of design intentions.
