Taken by Ian Clegg (b. Wavertree, 1960) between 1970 and 1980, the images were hidden under his bed for more than 40 years. In 2020 he and Laura Robertson held an exhibition, ''Tell It Like It Is, Liverpool, 1978-80'', at Open Eye Gallery, in Liverpool — a reason to review his negatives. Some of the images in this title were included in that show.
