Résumé:
Morphosis is headed by Thom Mayne, 2005 winner of the Pritzker Prize. The eighteen projects presented in this volume were all conceived within the past seven years, and have been selected to illustrate the continuation of Mayne’s interest in an architecture of complexity – one that promotes difference, the pursuit of ambiguity, inclusion, the coexistence of apparent contradictions, imperfection, and more. Through diverse programmes, the chosen works reveal the scope of the practice’s research and design activity. Included are the Perot Museum, Cornell University’s Bill & Melinda Gates Hall, China’s National Art Museum, Quay Quarter Sydney, and ENI Headquarters in Italy.

'Reflections, UNStudios Small Stuff', presents a selection of interiors, installations, pavilions and industrial designs from the last 20 years. The 30 projects are organized in pairs that form each others mirror image, illustrating the idea of reflection and its manifold meanings at literal and symbolic levels. Scattered throughout the book are statements by Ben van Berkel and Caroline Bos expressing the thoughts behind each design. These texts bear witness to the theoretical richness and versatility at the basis of UNStudios highly particular approach to architecture and design.

'Voyage Le Corbusier' collects for the first time a compendium of sketchbook drawings and watercolors of Charles-Edouard Jeanneret—a young student who would become the modernist architect Le Corbusier. Between 1907 and 1911, Jeanneret traveled throughout Europe and the Mediterranean, carrying an array of drawing supplies and documenting all that he saw: classical ruins, details of interiors, vibrant landscapes, and the people and objects that populated them. Jacob Brillhart excavates the "visual thinking" of the twentieth century's architect, reproducing a selection of 175 drawings from these early sketchbooks.
