Résumé:
The Austrian lighting company Zumtobel Group commissioned the international architecture practice UNStudio to create its annual report for 2021/2022. Founded in 1988 by Ben van Berkel and Caroline Bos, UNStudio is one of the leading Dutch architecture offices in the world, and aims at designing healthy, sustainable cities that have an impact on our planet and a positive effect on people. As a collaboration with graphic design duo Bloemendaal & Dekkers, this year’s publication presents a design reflection on the theme of transformation. Using illustrations drawn from the work of UNStudio over the past 30 years, the book presents a visual investigation into the creative process, and demonstrates how ideas and concepts are developed by the practice into physical form. Through a similar thought process, the book itself is designed to undergo its own metamorphosis.

Résumé:
Founded by Eyal Weizman at Goldsmiths College in London in 2010, the research agency Forensic Architecture has investigated dozens of incidents of state violence—military intervention, environmental destruction, border violence and police murder. Working at the intersection of architecture, law, journalism, human rights and ecology, Forensic Architecture researches conflicts and crimes around the world, using architectural tools and methods to conduct spatial and architectural analyses of particular incidents. They do not design new buildings, but like other architects, they examine and model spaces, with the aim of shedding light on events. This catalog focuses on the witnesses at the core of Forensic Architecture’s work. Featuring texts by Weizman, Christina Varvia and a roundtable discussion between members of the current team, this richly illustrated book opens a window into Forensic Architecture’s working methods and projects.

Peter Cook's distinctive drawings have captivated and inspired generations of designers. Freed from stylistic or functional conventions, his graphic speculations have redefined the language of architectural communication. Speculations spans Cook's entire career, presenting some 160 drawings that range from student projects in the 1950s, through Archigram, to new work completed shortly before going to press. Arranged chronologically, these drawings chart the course of what can now be seen as an enthralling architectural adventure. Cook's own observations about the nature of architecture and urbanism, and the concept of the buildable, are complemented by pieces from architects Frank Gehry, Toyo Ito, Thom Mayne and Peter Wilson.

This monograph documents the sophisticated solutions of 23 international projects realised by David Chipperfield Architects London, Berlin, Milan, and Shanghai. The selection from the firm’s extensive portfolio presents different building typologies and construction tasks, be it new buildings, restoration, extensions or interiors. Résumé:
With Neri and Hu Design and Research Office, the Chinese avantgarde in architecture, research and teaching, product and interior design has arrived in Europe. This publication accompanies the exhibition "Reflective Nostalgia" presented at the Aedes Architecture Forum (Berlin), which aimed to highlight the way in which Lyndon Neri and Rossana Hu examine the historical and the contemporary as well as the listed and the everyday and to transform them into new uses in a respectful and future-oriented manner. Their transdisciplinary design approach is in the DNA of the studio. The success of the broad spectrum of their work is reflected in numerous international awards. The exhibition installation featured architectural models, photographs and videos, as well as a selection of furniture, showcasing Neri and Hu's alternative reading of historical contexts, including all the contradictions and details, as well as the unexpected spatial compositions with which they respond.
