Résumé:
Over the last twenty years an increasing number of artists have turned to expressing themselves through postcards. Whether by way of installation, collage, addition to, or alteration of existing postcards, or the production of postcards themselves, many prominent artists employ the medium in some form. Artists’ Postcards traces the origin of artists' fascination with postcards from the early 1900s but with a focus on the contemporary, revealing the significant number of artists who have made creative and unusual artworks in postcard form. With 400 images of postcards created by many well-known artists, Artists’ Postcards is the first critical guide to the subject. From surrealists to Fluxus and conceptual artists, this book includes an array of historical and contemporary postcards by such artists as George Grosz, Bruce Nauman, Richard Long, David Hockney, Richard Hamilton, Susan Hiller, Joseph Beuys, Ben Vautier, Dieter Roth, Ray Johnson, Gordon Matta-Clark, Gavin Turk, Tacita Dean, Gilbert and George and Rachel Whiteread.

Résumé:
Director of the Generali Foundation from 2008 to 2014, Sabine Folie helped establish the institution's reputation for generating new critical discussion on contemporary art through revisiting modernism. This survey catalog, illustrated with photographs and source materials, documents the extensive collection of works acquired during Folie's tenure. Essays by theorists and artists reflect on contemporary art themes exploring areas such as linguistic devices, the dismantling of representation and the reorganization of pictorial space, the changing roles of artist and museums, the relationship between subject and environment due to globalization and post-colonialism, artistic processing of history and the production of memorial culture.

Résumé:
Three volume exhibition catalogue of exhibition titled 'Supermarket of the dead' at the Dresden State Art Museum in 2015. One of the most ancient forms of Chinese spirituality proves to be a living tradition, still widely practised everywhere in Chinese culture. Paper replicas of money and goods are ritually burned as offerings to win the favour of ancestors, gods and spirits. These paper models have recently undergone a kind of transformation, in which imi-tations of traditional objects have been superseded by replicas of consumer goods found in western shopping habits. An alter-native world made of paper, encompassing all today’s globalised brand consumption fetishes, Gucci bags, Prada shoes, mobile phones, Apple computers and even Heineken beer cans and life-size cars, is committed to the flames as a tribute to the ancestors. This three part catalog offers a glimpse of the exhibition and includes a volume of essays to accompany the works.
