Résumé:
''Alice Neel: I Am the Century'' accompanies the first major retrospective in Italy dedicated to the US artist Alice Neel (1900–1984), presented by Pinacoteca Agnelli, Turin. Conceived as both a critical and a narrative journey, this publication offers an in-depth exploration of Neel's artistic and personal life, expanding on the exhibition through a rich selection of essays and visual material. Merging realism with surrealism and empathy with unflinching clarity, Neel captured the psychological and emotional depth of her sitters. The publication emphasizes her capacity to chronicle life's stages and relationships—childhood and adulthood, sexuality and intimacy, community and political consciousness—through works that continue to resonate with contemporary audiences. Positioning Neel as both artist and witness, ''I Am the Century'' underscores her enduring humanism and her singular vision of the "human comedy," offering readers a comprehensive entry point into a body of work that is still influencing new generations of artists.

Résumé:
Building loosely on the form of a pocket-sized travel guide, "731.52 cm of land" unfolds into a 731.52 cm wide miniature landscape. Composed of hand-painted and digitally illustrated images stitched together into a continuous sequence, the book includes a poem and short narrative by the artist, an essay co-authored with Daniella Sanader, and an afterword by Heather Canlas Rigg. A sticker sheet featuring animal and plant forms is included as an insert. Functioning as a poetic visual-textual essay, the book unsettles the familiar logic of travel guides and the explorer’s gaze. It troubles the impulses of sightseeing, navigation, and tourism, while calling into question the authoritative languages of archaeology, botany, taxonomy, and cartography. It emerges from ongoing inquiries in Nour Bishouty’s practice around permission, legibility, and understanding.

Résumé:
"Studies on Squats" is an evocative exploration of embodied resistance and political movement that uses the multifaceted posture of the "Asian Squat" as a lens through which broader concepts of migration, illness, and resilience are examined. In "Studies on Squats," the body—in its most vulnerable and potent states—becomes a speculative site for reclaiming agency by crafting new forms of protest that draw from ancestral strength, humor and eroticism. This posture, rich with cultural resonance, offers as an entry point to imagine ways in which the body can engage in acts of defiance against systems of oppression. "Studies on Squats" invites the audience to consider how dance and choreographic thinking can serve as tools for envisioning alternative futures, where artistry empowers those enduring systemic social injustices to transform their realities.

"When I think of art I think of beauty. Beauty is the mystery of life," wrote Agnes Martin in 1989. Edited by Milly Glimcher, this handsomely produced volume collects writings by the artist centered around the theme of beauty, as well as a range of subjects related to her life and work, from the workings of nature and politics to the inspiration to be found in solitude and silence. Poetic and reflective, these texts range from compact insights, as with "Underside of the Leaf" and "Awareness of Perfection," to longer meditations, such as "The Current of the River of Life Moves Us" and "The Untroubled Mind." ''On Beauty'' also includes reproductions of paintings such as Blessings (2000) and Tranquillity (2001), among others, while the front and back covers are debossed with reproductions of Affection (2001) and Little Children Playing with Love (2001). By providing a window into the thoughts and feelings that moved her, this title is the perfect companion for anyone who admires Martin's intuitive approach to art. Canadian American artist Agnes Martin (1912–2004) was one of the most influential painters of her generation and left an enduring mark on the history of modern and contemporary art. Characterized by austere lines and grids superimposed upon grounds of muted color, her paintings elegantly negotiate the confines of structure, space, draftsmanship and the metaphysical. Their underlying ideologies can be found in the writings she composed over the course of her career.

Résumé:
Made in 1969 as an artist's book but never published, "Terminal boundaries" and "A natural water course diverted reduced or displaced" comprises two books in one-- a tête-bêche with two front covers that can be read from either side by turning the book upside down. This facsimile publication contains two related bodies of work from American conceptual artist Lawrence Weiner (1942–2012) represented as typewritten statements on paper that Weiner pasted to the pages of a small notebook. Distinct from his contemporaries associated with the Land Art movement, Weiner constructs his landscape interventions in language-the specific and/or general act and the location are stated-offering the reader/viewer the opportunity to consider each work's existence, to build it in their mind's eye.
