Résumé:
Since the mid-1990s, the French design team H5 has produced numerous record covers and visuals for both small and large labels, developing its ethos in tandem with the development of French electronic music, particularly bands associated with the "French Touch" such as Air and Alex Gopher. Ludovic Houplain and Antoine Bardou-Jacquet started out by making sleeves for their friends Etienne de Crecy and Alex Gopher, gravitating towards the use of typography instead of photography and an economical two-color aesthetic. This is the End: Cover Art by H5 focuses entirely on the company's music design, and includes several essays and an interview. It comes with a vinyl EP produced for this publicatio.

Résumé:
Between 1961 and 1968, the magazine “Twen” produced a series of LP recordings in collaboration with the Philips record label. During this period, all editions of “Twen” were accompanied by LPs drawn from the realms of jazz, classical music, radio plays, world music, or pop. For the designs of his record covers, art director Willy Fleckhaus used Concrete Art by Karl Gerstner, Max Bill, and other dedicated graphic designers such as Heinz Edelmann and Günther Kieser. This now forgotten series, comprising around 70 disks, is a masterful instance of the conjunction of music and graphic design. In collaboration with music archives and private collections, this rare series is reunited in its entirety and documented in this publication.

Résumé:
A retrospective survey in which the Amsterdam graphic designer, Bas Oudt takes a look at his own oeuvre – which he himself considers “unsuccessful”. Irrespective of his self-criticism, Oudt’s creations for non-commercial clients are noted for their subtle, inventive and consequent designs. Alongside his practice Oudt gave lessons in his unconventional approach at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy, influencing subsequent generations of graphic designers. This tribute to Oudt, designed by Claudi Kessels and with photographs by Uta Eisenreich, provides an opportunity for this generation of students to react to his design mentality, while also celebrating his substantial legacy. Elegantly conceived, with different papers utilised, the edition includes hand-printed sections, essays, interviews, archive material and a poster. The list of graphic contributors includes: Jozee Brouwer, Ron Faas, Yolanda Huntelaar & Pieter Boddaert (Werkplaats Amsterdam) Harmen Liemberg and Richard Niessen.
