Three key aspects - organisation, management and city marketing - are dwelt on at length. Over forty facets including site size, visitor attendance figures, investments, populations, stakeholders, aims and methods, are then compared. A timeline, pictograms and drawings together with clear definitions of the different categories of events are used to give the best possible conditions in which to compare and analyse the events in question. Cette interrogation exige la construction d'une méthode d'analyse interdisciplinaire, l'espace étant le lieu de confluence de multiples savoirs, qu'il s'agisse des sciences humaines ou des sciences exactes. L'objet de la sémiotique est la signification et son champ naturel l'interdisciplinarité. De ce fait, pour répondre à notre interrogation nous emprunterons les chemins d'une sémiotique comme outil interdisciplinaire et, d'autre part, ceux d'une sémiotique de l'espace véritablement dynamique. D'après Greimas : " la sémiotique est le travail de plusieurs générations ". J'ai choisi d'organiser cet ouvrage en adressant ces questionnements à des sémioticiens morphodynamicistes, greimassiens et peirciens, qu'ils soient : allemands, canadiens, français, indiens, norvégiens, ou portugais. La visée théorique est précise : la construction d'un ouvrage qui puisse contribuer à repérer plusieurs versants de la sémiotique dynamique.
