Résumé:
Shrigley is a young British artist whose work is difficult to define. Taken seriously by the great and the good of the art world (except perhaps by himself) his cartoon-like drawings and accompanying statements deal irreverently with art, sex, murder, and other important matters. A beautifully designed book which will amuse and annoy almost equally.

The American artist Paul Chan has gained international acclaim for his video work, drawings and installations that blend a novel drafting aesthetic with philosophical reflections on politics, religion, sex and life. This beautifully produced monograph, published on the occasion of Chan's highly anticipated one-person exhibition at New York's recently unveiled New Museum of Contemporary Art, presents the first significant overview of Chan's work. Spanning from the late 1990s through today, it is named for Chan's most recent project, The 7 Lights (2005-07), a series of large-scale digital projections and drawings that "hallucinate" the Seven Days of Creation.

''Who Does She Think She Is?'' recovers the artist’s early sculptures, recently rediscovered and not exhibited since 1960. Documentation of Drexler’s performances and theatrical work, photographs evoking her role in the downtown New York scene and a selection of her books and other archival materials present her work across multiple mediums, offering a comprehensive look at Drexler’s varied career.

Résumé:
Written between 1974 and 2012, ''Revolution at point zero'' collects forty years of research and theorizing on the nature of housework, social reproduction, and women’s struggles on this terrainto escape it, to better its conditions, to reconstruct it in ways that provide an alternative to capitalist relations. Indeed, as Federici reveals, behind the capitalist organization of work and the contradictions inherent in ''alienated labor'' is an explosive ground zero for revolutionary practice upon which are decided the daily realities of our collective reproduction. Beginning with Federici’s organizational work in the Wages for Housework movement, the essays collected here unravel the power and politics of wide but related issues including the international restructuring of reproductive work and its effects on the sexual division of labor, the globalization of care work and sex work, the crisis of elder care, the development of affective labor, and the politics of the commons.

Résumé:
In 1982, the protests of antiporn feminists sparked the censorship of the ''Diary of a Conference on Sexuality'', a radical and sexually evocative image-text volume whose silencing became a symbol for the irresolvable feminist sex wars. ''In Visible archives'' documents the community networks that produced this resonant artifact and others, analyzing how visual culture provided a vital space for women artists to theorize and visualize their own bodies and sexualities. Margaret Galvan explores a number of feminist and cultural touchstones—the feminist sex wars, the HIV/AIDS crisis, the women in print movement, and countercultural grassroots periodical networks—and examines how visual culture interacts with these pivotal moments. She goes deep into the records to bring together a decade’s worth of research in grassroots and university archives that include comics, collages, photographs, drawings, and other image-text media produced by women, including Hannah Alderfer, Beth Jaker, Marybeth Nelson, Roberta Gregory, Lee Marrs, Alison Bechdel, Gloria Anzaldúa, and Nan Goldin. The art highlighted in ''In Visible archives'' demonstrates how women represented their bodies and sexualities on their own terms and created visibility for new, diverse identities, thus serving as blueprints for future activism and advocacy—work that is urgent now more than ever as LGBTQ+ and women’s rights face challenges and restrictions across the nation.

Résumé:
Ever since anthropology has existed as a discipline, anthropologists have thought about architectural forms. This book provides the first overview of how anthropologists have studied architecture and the extraordinarily rich thought and data this has produced. With a focus on domestic space - that intimate context in which anthropologists traditionally work - the book explains how anthropologists think about public and private boundaries, gender, sex and the body, the materiality of architectural forms and materials, building technologies and architectural representations. Each chapter uses a broad range of case studies from around the world to examine from within anthropology what architecture 'does' - how it makes people and shapes, sustains and unravels social relations.
