File documents a project in which Cedric Price was invited to submit a design for a single house to an exhibition entitled "Architecture II: Houses for Sale" organized by the Leo Castelli Gallery, New York City, New York, United States. The four components of Price's submission entitled "Platforms, Pavilions, Pylons and Plants" could be regrouped and redistributed on the one-acre site if and when required. Conceptual, design development and schematic sketches include preliminary plans, sections, and elevations for the house as well as details for the arrangement of the four components. Trees are stamped in black ink on the site plans with a generic rubber "tree" stamp. Design development drawings include preliminary drawings for layouts done in graphite, and a complete sequence of design development drawings done in ink numbered 001 to 013. Several reprographic copies of design development drawings were coloured with adhesive film and pencil and annotated in order to develop preliminary versions for the final presentation drawings. Three panels for the "Houses for Sale" exhibition consist of text describing the project concept mounted on boards, and a photomechanical print enlarged from an original sketch perspective entitled "general view-pavilions and totems". Material in this file was produced between 1979 and 1982, and in 1987, but predominantly in 1980. File contains conceptual drawings, design development drawings, presentation panels, a presentation model, photographic materials, and textual records.

File documents the Hair Tent, a temporary theatre structure which was to house performances of the musical 'Hair', in Holland, for David Convyers Productions Ltd. Cedric Price was hired to convert a tent into a theatre venue. The tent structure was designed for an audience of 1,200 and was to be used for a six-month period. Due to cost and time constraints, the materials were recycled: the seating came from a demolished cinema; the steel structure from a field near Hartlepool; and the mobile heating was provided by the Dutch Military (Cedric Price-Works II). Design development drawings show numerous plans and sections of the tent structure and structural components; a plan and section show the seating arrangements; a section through the tent shows various internal stackable structures; and an axonometric view of the site shows the main tent, a tin hut entrance bar, and military mobile heaters. Reprographic copies of construction drawings of a Cinerama and circus structure with details of trussing configurations, mast layout and anchor plans were possibly for reference purposes. Some material in this file was published in "Cedric Price Supplement", 'Architectural Design', vol. 40, (October 1970), 516, and Price, Cedric, 'Cedric Price-Works II' (London: Architectural Press, 1984), 72, 76. Material in this file was produced between 1963 and 1971. Reference drawings included with the design development drawings are inscribed with the name L. It reflects de Forest's goal to ensure the preservation of the arts, crafts and trades (with a particular attention given to carving) of South Asian workmen. 25 heliotype plates show Indian architecture and ornaments and the final 14 pages show advertisements, in the Indian graphic style, for various New York building craftsmen and home furnishers. Drawings relating to Parizeau's architectural career in Montreal are represented in a number of independant projects, including a small chapel beside the St. Lawrence River, a pair of two-storey cabin-cottages outside of Montreal, and several residences in the city. The documents are mostly original preliminary studies with some reproductions of working drawings. It should be noted that there are also photographs of exterior details of the Laroque Residence and the Jarry Residence in documents CO2 in Series II. Reproductions of designs for worker housing by French architect Eugène Beaudoin in 1938 perhaps give a clue to Parizeau's relatively early employment of modernist forms. A residence in Baie D'Urfé is unlikely to be connected to Parizeau because its date, ca. 1955, is a decade after his death. Parizeau's concern with furniture and interior design is represented in the Archive with many lively perspective sketches in colour, and elevation and plan studies of several kinds of rooms and types of furniture. Some preliminary drawings for interiors were grouped with the Gillow house in Ville Mont-Royal, and the Walter Downs Residence in Montreal.

Series 3, Tongxian Art Center, Beijing, 2000 – 2007, documents the development of a multiphase project for a public arts complex thirty miles from Beijing. Phases are distinguished when possible. Phase I of the project is the gatehouse (realized), which consists of housing and studio space for artists-in-residence. It is conceived as a brick monolith that has been shrink-wrapped or vacuumed into its shape – a metaphor for the optimization of the building’s limited space. Regional materials are incorporated through the use of local brick and native chudumu wood on the exterior. The gatehouse was completed in 2003. Phase II of the project is the art center (unrealized), which consists of public spaces, sculpture courts, administrative spaces and infrastructural needs of the institution, connected through a series of alleyways. The layout is organized to maximize interaction between inhabitants while maintaining a level of privacy. In addition to phases I and II, records in the series document a design referred to as Tongxian Gatekeeper (unrealized). Drawings, circa 2006, illustrate a building to house animals and agriculture in the southwest corner of the Tongxian Art complex grounds. The series contains sketches, drawings and reprographic copies from pre-design to construction stages of the project, two models including a wood model of the art center and a cardboard model of the gatekeeper wall, and photographic materials. The series also contains textual documents including correspondence with on-site project coordinator Timothy Clark, as well as meeting agendas, project schedules, agreements and proposals, and other project documentation. Digital material includes photographs of construction, CAD drawings, renderings, e-mail, and a video featuring the project team. The majority of material in the series relates to phase I of the project, the gatehouse. Some files include documentation about the involvement of contemporary artist Ai Wei Wei in a supervisory role for the project.

The design for the aviary called for metal poles and a roof grid covered with a wire framework and nylon mesh. Conceptual sketches show various roof designs and a system for providing variable heights. The final design also included an artificial spring, stepped waterfall, rock pool, shallow pool, beach and marsh areas, and perches at various heights. Existing conditions material includes a colour aerial photograph mounted on press board and an existing survey plan. Design development drawings also include axonometric drawings of the structure and proposals for pools and waterfalls.
