The roll is labelled "Body Works Series 2000", but this appears to be incorrect, as the item itself is titled "Melvin Charney: Un dictionnaire... 1970-2001. Plan d’installation no. 2: position des planches et des séries." It is a diagram depicting how the plates for the series should be arranged on the wall for an exhibition.

Description:
Oud designed the mayoral residence for the mayor of Broek in Waterland in 1916. Oud's first plan, Plan A, featured a stylized entranceway, fenestration and a stylized roof. Oud revised his plans into a more simple facade, which the client preferred. Plan B was erected in 1916 and met with critical praise by artist, Theo Van Doesburg, who was also commissioned to create the stained glass windows in 1917, featuring the Waterland coat of arms and a swan (Taverne et al. 2001, 124-125). Project series includes drawings of plans and 1 photograph of an elevation.

CI005.S1.1926.PR1
Description:
In 1925 committee members from trade, shipping and commerce, in partnership with Rotterdam city council, initiated the competition for the design of a new stock exchange building. The jury consisted of three architects, as well as two members of the Exchange committee. Oud's submission to the Rotterdam Exchange competition included designs for the new building and surrounding urban area, although his entry was unsuccessful. Oud created a functional and non-symbolic design based on a three-dimensional grid (Taverne et al. 2001, 350-354). Project series includes drawings of plans for the exchange as well as photographs of the drawings.

Description:
The competition for the design of the new Amsterdam Town Hall was held in 1936 and overseen by several jurists. Oud's submission was disappointing as his entry was criticized by a fellow jurist and he was not among the four finalist who were selected to modify their plans. Oud's entry in 1937 featured a court surrounded by three office wings, another office wing for the council chamber and a formal main entrance, as well as a tower in the courtyard (Taverne et al. 2001, 409-410). Project series includes photographs of plans for Oud's competition entry for the Amsterdam Town Hall.

The Vooruit Working Men's Club was one of many cooperative clubs for working men in the Netherlands. The building, consisting of four dwellings and a club building, was erected in 1911 and occupied by 1912. Oud was responsible for designing the housing block and main (Vooruit) building, which included a meeting hall and two frescos by J. Jongert. The main building also included latticed windows for the living room door that opened to the garden (Taverne et al. 2001, 82-83). The project series includes drawings of Vooruit and adjacent buildings as well as building photographs, including one of a metal grille.

Description:
The Stichting Nationaal Park De Hoge Veluwe commissioned Oud to design its gatekeeper lodge and ticket booth in 1957. Oud designed a two-storey building that featured several balconies and an annexed ticket booth, with colour choices of white walls with strategic uses of primary colours. Construction was waylaid because of the delay in obtaining building permits from the Ministries of Culture and Finance. Once approval was obtained, the cost of building was too high and, as a result, the plan was cancelled in 1960 (Taverne et al. 2001, 482). Project series includes plans as well as a photograph of a perspective drawing.
