AP178.S1.1967.PR04
Description:
This project series documents the Casa Manuel Magalhães in Porto, Portugal. While the records were held in the office’s archives this project was assigned the number 29/60; in the past the office identified the project as number 119. The office assigned the dates 1967-1971 for this project. The project consisted of a concrete house located on Avenida dos Combatentes in Porto. There was no direct opening to the street and the building was surrounded by a cement wall. Client Manuel Magalhães commissioned the house as a rental home, but became personally involved during the construction and decided to move in with his family. In 2001, Siza designed an intercom for the house. Documenting this project are sketches, studies, plans, elevations, and details. Photographs, negatives, and slides document the site and building work. Textual documentation includes correspondence with the city of Porto, Manuel Magalhães and Fernando Teixeira Rodrigues.

Description:
The project series documents "Integrazioni" an installation by Pettena for the Expo Arte at the Galleria Megapoli in Bari in 1985. The installation consisted of a framed three dimensional 'picture' in which is placed two benches and a table, and perspective is added in with paint to give the impression of depth. "A picture that, for once, has a depth (so that you can enter it) is in fact a place, the place where names change, the place where natures change, the location of a shift between real and imaginary, a door opening onto a reality that is certainly imagined, but that you can pass through." [1] The project series contains sketches and photographs of the installation, and a leaflet from the Galleria Megapoli on the exhibition and the installations presented. Description:
In order to better coordinate numerous war memorial committees, the Dutch national government instituted a Central Commission for War and Peace Memorials. The commission initiated a national monument project in 1946 with the direction of J. Henrick Muller, who chose Dam Square, Amsterdam, for its site. The existing plan drew on an existing municipal Amsterdam memorial. Sculptor John Raedecker designed a sculpture group supported by an obelisk and Oud was enlisted by Raedecker to create the memorial's spatial design for the sculptures and urns. Oud chose the memorial site opposite the palace in Dam Square. Despite pressure to change the site position, the committee submitted Oud's design and it was approved in 1950. The sculptures and monument were completed in 1956 with an opening ceremony held in May (Taverne et al. 2001, 457-460). Project series includes partial sections and plans showing sculptures by Raedecker.

Projet
AP206.S1.1982.PR02
Description:
This project series documents an extension and additions to the Milkfed Punjab milk plant in Jalandhar, India from 1982-1985, governed by The National Dairy Development Board (NDDB). This project consisted of an extension to the main milk plant, as well as the building of a garage, stores, service block, duty rooms and an addition to the administrative block. An orchard and covered bike area were also proposed. The main plant extension, used for the processing of butter and ghee, was multi-leveled with a primary height of two-storeys but reaching up to four storeys. Different schemes were proposed for the administrative block addition, one which showed a square building and the other showing a round building. The duty rooms, dotted with irregularly placed and sized geometric windows, had a roof that curled up at one end, opening to expose windows. The project is recorded through original drawings dating from 1973, which include plans, elevations, sections, perspectives and details.
