Résumé:
Influential American photographer Robert Adams revisits the classic collection of nocturnal landscapes that he began making in the mid-1970s near his former home in Longmont, Colorado. Originally published by Aperture in 1985 as Summer Nights, this new edition has been carefully reedited and resequenced by the photographer, who has added 39 previously unpublished images. Illuminated by moonlight and streetlamp, the houses, roads, sidewalks and fields in Summer Nights, Walking retain the wonder and stillness of the original edition, while adopting the artist's intention of a dreamy fluidity, befitting his nighttime perambulations.

Résumé:
Established sometime around the 1st or 2nd century BCE, Tashkent is the capital city of Uzbekistan and the largest metropolis in Central Asia benefiting from its historical role as geographic crossroads, its developed resources, and its thriving multiculturalism. Previous Soviet rule was established in 1917—which over six decades heralded transformations in Tashkent’s culture, identity, and, of course, its landscape and architecture. In this volume, realized in collaboration with the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation, photographer Karel Balas reveals the modernist architecture of Tashkent through a collection of never-before-seen photographs.

Résumé:
More than an exhibition catalogue, this reference book is lavishly illustrated with the works from the 25 exhibitions of the event, and includes essays by leading commentators on contemporary art and technology. The camera is not a tool just waiting to be picked up and used, but a sophisticated instrument with its own laws, its own ways of working, and even its own life. With the incorporation of automatic devices – and, more recently, computers – the camera has its own agency. It can see what is invisible to the human eye; it can work continuously; it can travel to places that humans would find impossible or dangerous to visit; it can enter the human body and travel into outer space. It has been taken for granted that the photographic image is the most important aspect of the photographic process. However, the artists and writers in Drone: The Automated Image suggest something completely different. At the centre of their concerns is the changing relationship between the camera and the body and how the camera can function with little human involvement. As humans rely more and more on technology to extend vision, the camera takes on behaviours associated with the body. From CCTV to Google Street View, from remote cameras to robots, and from photo booths to drones, cameras are remaking the conditions of human existence.

It contains a rare selection of flyers, ephemera, and posters that transport us to the Italian LGBTI+ nightlife scene from the 1970s to the 2000s. The collection of materials and items highlights how nightclubs can become places where exchange, transformation, and relationships, as well as significant social and political actions, can happen. The publication is the outcome of a collaboration between the ''Flavia Madaschi'' Documentation Centre of the Cassero LGBTI+ Centre in Bologna, the Luca Lucati Archive, and the gay-themed monthly magazine ''Babilonia''.
