Résumé:
Photographer Armin Linke captures the library in this series of images, depicting the interior spaces of this time-honoured cultural institution as an expression of its commitment to stimulating questioning and discovery. He not only looks at the grandly ornamented, open spaces of academic study found within several Parisian institutions (such as Science Po, the Louvre, and C2RMF), but also the lecture halls, administrative offices, and behind-the-scenes storage and hidden technical functions. Besides Linke’s thoughtfully banal images, the book includes an essay by Bruno Latour, an interview with Linke, and a conversation about the project’s initiation and background. Signed and numbered edition with two original photographs.

Résumé:
The Chilean architect presents eighteen projects designed in his studio that illuminate ideas and process in this handsome publication. Some began life as illustrations of texts loved by the architect, and several have been realised, or are in that process. Besides photographs, drawings, and renderings, the book includes wooden models based on these projects. According to the preface by Radic, it is a collection of moments of conviction: constructions of the imaginary through what he perceives as good illustrations. Among the featured works are NAVE Performing Arts Hall, House for the Poem of the Right Angle, Serpentine Gallery Pavilion 2014, Mestizo Restaurant, and more.

Résumé:
Inner Space is part of an ongoing research project into the construction of the architectural imagination. It sets out to investigate the space between the inner and outer realities, a space that could be inhabited and explored in itself, looking for those moments in which the two realms interact most vividly. Besides, it also identifies two parallel and strictly intertwined movements intervening in the construction of architectural imagination: a collective one and an individual one, two spheres complementing each other. The aim is to identify imagination as an immersive territory that can be experienced, crossed and even inhabited, defined as a human ability which partly relies on a collective process.

Résumé:
Besides his work as a painter, designer, and prolific writer of picture books, the Italian artist Bruno Munari (1907–1998) devoted himself to children’s art education. Although it is difficult to grasp the scope of his wide-ranging activities, regardless of the genre, Munari’s works are based on a simple idea and are immediately appealing to anyone of any age. The itinerant Japanese exhibition ''Bruno Munari: The Man Who Made the Useless Machines'' looks back at his career, which began with the Italian Futurists, by examining approximately 300 works. This comprehensive monograph complements and broadens the exhibition’s overview of his visionary life and work.

Résumé:
The third and final instalment in the “Is This Rural?” series focuses on the intermediate territory: the most indeterminate in terms of use, the setting where the most complex situations occur, and where the mix of uses is part of its identity. An analysis of this diffuse and increasingly expanded portion of the environment originates a series of explorations towards possible futures in which architecture is obliged to enter into dialogue with the natural sciences. Besides essays by architect and urbanist Javier Mozas and Wroclaw-based PROLOG +1, it also features works by Colectivo C733, B-Architecten, Atelier Fanelsa, KOSMOS Architects, Rural Office for Architecture, and others.

Résumé:
Queer people have always found ways to exist and be together, and there will always be a need for queer spaces. In this illustrated volume, Adam Nathaniel Furman and Joshua Mardell have gathered together a community of contributors to share stories of spaces that range from the educational to the institutional to the re-appropriated, and many more besides. With historic, contemporary and speculative examples from around the world, this book recognises LGBTQIA+ life past and present as strong, vibrant, vigorous, and worthy of its own place in history. Looking forward, it suggests visions of what form these spaces may take in the future to continue uplifting queer lives.
