Depuis les toutes premières réalisations, sa démarche s'inscrit dans une volonté de collaboration avec les artisans locaux. Conformément aux enseignements de l'architecte égyptien Hassan Fathy, elle les fait intervenir en leur rendant leur place dans une architecture qui reste cependant contemporaine. Anthropologue (École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales, Paris), diplômée du Laboratoire de Troisième cycle Arts, Esthétiques Sciences et Technologies de l'Image de Paris VIII, plasticienne, elle est l'auteur de plusieurs ouvrages de référence sur les architectures vernaculaires du Sud Marocain. Parallèlement à ces recherches, elle essaie d'organiser la survie de certaines citadelles véritablement menacées et pas seulement par le phénomène classique de "modernisation"; elle s'investit ainsi depuis plusieurs années dans des actions concrètes de sauvetage ou de développement culturel. Elle a reçu le Prix Jeunes Architectes, de la Fondation EDF en juin 2004, ce qui lui a permis de poursuivre ces revitalisations en profondeur.

Joseph Beuys (1921–1986) was one of the most significant artists of the twentieth century—and one of the most controversial. Working in Germany in the aftermath of World War II, he explored a radically expanded concept of art through a practice that ranged from performative actions to large-scale sculptural ensembles. While some contemporaries found his claim that “everyone is an artist” liberating, even revolutionary, others accused him of fostering a dangerous cult of personality. In "Joseph Beuys and History", the first rigorous art historical study of the artist in English, Daniel Spaulding presents a striking new interpretation of Beuys’s work and career. By putting Beuys in the context of Germany’s postwar recovery, Spaulding shows that the artist’s superimposed biological, political, and economic metaphors offered a powerful way to think about the trajectory of human freedom, the place of art in capitalist modernity, and the possibility of an ecological aesthetics. At the same time, his oeuvre’s disquieting echoes of the Nazi past suggest that not everything could be reconciled in what Beuys called “social sculpture.”

De nombreux auteurs ont mis au jour les conditions qui ont conduit à penser autrement la ville au tournant des années 1900 : un savoir qui se forme au carrefour de plusieurs disciplines, l'adoption de nouvelles méthodes de gestion par les personnels administratifs, la création de nouveaux cadres législatifs, les actions d'un milieu réformateur qui conduisent au renouvellement des pratiques et du métier. Mais, très peu d'entre eux se sont intéressés aux dispositifs matériels par lesquels s'est élaborée une pensée, se sont formés des concepts et se sont légitimées des démarches. Enrico Chapel s'attache à l'un d'entre eux : la statistique graphique. En suivant une approche sociohistorique, il montre que l'urbanisme naît de deux fascinations : celle du désordre urbain, étroitement lié à l'essor de la ville industrielle et des échanges capitalistes, et celle du nombre. L'auteur montre que la statistique graphique devient un outil incontournable pour nombre d'architectes au nom d'une analyse exacte, voire scientifique du phénomène urbain, ainsi que la condition de possibilité d'un projet spatial qui se veut objectif et prédictif à la fois.
