Résumé:
David Chipperfield's architecture stands for clarity and minimalism, for a successful combination of proven ideas and innovation. He aims for architecturally, socially and intellectually sophisticated solutions - which is why DETAIL has regularly published reports, interviews, discussions and many project documentations since the foundation of his practice in 1985. As customary, this monograph of publications in DETAIL by the David Chipperfield Architects practice takes a closer look behind the scenes, describes processes and shows above all: many construction details.

John Cage's disdain for records was legendary. He repeatedly spoke of the ways in which recorded music was antithetical to his work. In Records Ruin the Landscape, David Grubbs argues that, following Cage, new genres in experimental and avant-garde music in the 1960s were particularly ill suited to be represented in the form of a recording. These activities include indeterminate music, long-duration minimalism, text scores, happenings, live electronic music, free jazz, and free improvisation.

Résumé:
"Walkscapes" deals with strolling as an architecture of landscape, with walking as an autonomous form of art, a primary act in the symbolic transformation of the territory, an aesthetic instrument of knowledge and a physical transformation of the "negotiated" space, which is converted into an urban intervention. From primitive nomadism to Dada and Surrealism, from the Lettrist to the Situationist International, and from Minimalism to Land Art, this book narrates the perception of landscape through a history of the traversed city.

Résumé:
Kapitza is a multi-disciplinary design studio run by sisters Nicole and Petra Kapitza, who share a passion for print, pattern, nature, minimalism and colour. This second book project from the duo features 200 previously unpublished artworks using their new collection of custom-designed pattern fonts, rooted in their ongoing visual research and catalogue of photographs. Its inspiration derives from a “fascination with irregular arrangements, formations and shapes found in nature and man-made structures.” The results are intensely colourful, chaotic, tactile and, quite simply, psychedelic.

Résumé:
Featured in the Guggenheim's 2015 landmark ''Photo-Poetics'' exhibition, New York–based artist Leslie Hewitt (born 1977) is one of the most revered artists working between photography and sculpture. Collaboration has been a central part of Hewitt's art, including projects with William Cordova and Matt Keegan, and her ongoing work with cinematographer Bradford Young exploring the Menil Collection archive of civil rights-era photographs. That cinematic rumination on historicity and the relationship of the archive to memory, minimalism, lived experience and time, sets an exemplary precedent for this first monograph surveying Hewitt's oeuvre.
