It contains documents related to his involvement in congresses and conferences, such as correspondence, draft texts and ephemeras for his lecture at the Centre Jacques Cartier in Lyon, in 1994, and event planning documents, correspondence, reports and proceedings related to his attendance at the international congress of the PEN Club, a worldwide association of writers, in Abidjan, in 1967. The series also contains sound recordings of a panel at the "The Citizen, Architecture and the Urban Environment" seminar in 1991. The series contains drawings related or produced by Mies' students during the class he taught. The drawings are predominantly by George Danforth during the first and second year Mies taught this class and also include copies of Mies' sketches for some of his past projects, as well as photographs of the graduate students of 1940 at the Armour Institure of Technology, including George Danforth.
