Description:
- This drawing shows a three storey Tudor Revival building with a sign at the front which reads "SPRING / COTTAGE". There is a parking lot visible behind the building, and there are several people - men, women, and children - standing in front of and at the entrance to the building. - The style of many of these drawings and reprographic copies by Henry Hyams (DR1988:0332 - DR1988:0414) suggests that they were possibly for periodical illustrations. Hyams contributed articles to the periodicals 'The Builder' and 'The Architect'. Two objects in the CCA collections can be linked to the article "Music in Stone" published prior to 1926 in 'The Architect'; a reprographic copy (DR1988:0357) and a drawing (DR1988:0364) (Who's Who in Architecture, 161).

AP206.S1.1983.PR03
Description:
This project series documents a competition entry for an office block and residences called Electra Complex in Meerut, India around 1983. The competition entry proposed a mid-rise office block with decks wrapping the building's exterior, which would connect via ramp to the neighbouring residential block. Both building types would feature shops, walkways and parking at their ground level. The proposal also included the design of a children's park next to the residential complex. This project is recorded through drawings, including a large number of reprographic copies, textual records and a photograph and negatives dating from around 1983. The drawings consist of plans, elevations, sections and perspectives, while the textual records consist of the project proposal report with the accompanying photo and drawings. The negatives are of the architects with presentation materials and reproduced drawings. It does not appear that this project was ever built.

Description:
This project subseries documents the Piscina Pública in Pedras Salgadas, Portugal. While the records were held in the office’s archives this project was assigned the number 50/00. The office assigned the dates 2008-2010 to this project. This project consisted of two outdoor public pools for the Pedras Salgadas Spa and Nature Park. One large pool was built for adults and a smaller children's pool sat diagonally from it. A small building that contained a bar was also built next to the pools. The project was realized. This project subseries is documented through drawings, photographic materials and textual records dating from 2007-2010. The drawings are mostly printed reprographic copies of CAD drawings, many of which have annotations, showing plans and details. The photographic materials, which are printed digital photos, show the site and construction. The textual records include technical documentation for the water, fire and gas systems, structural and electrical documentation, supplier catalogues, budgets, specifications and correspondence.

Description:
File documents an executed project for children's furniture, in Worthing, West Sussex, England, United Kingdom, and shows designs for custom furniture units for sleeping, working, washing, dressing, and storage for a 9' x 12' room. The project was for the same clients, Mr and Mrs T. L. Blau, who commissioned the garden pavilion, which Price designed in 1962 (AP144.S2.D32). Drawings include fabrication drawings for a bunk bed, dresser, bunk bed tables, wardrobe and retractable desk; perspective and isometric views of proposed bedroom layouts; and construction details of manufactured "Dexion slotted aluminum angle hardware." (Price with Murray 1971, 35). Material from this file was published in "Cedric Price Supplement No. 2", 'Architectural Design', vol. 41, (January 1971), 35. Material in this file was produced between 1963 and 1964. File contains working drawings, textual records, and photographic materials.
