Résumé:
This volume presents seventeen houses designed by the New York studio MOS Architects. "It is an article of faith for MOS that the house is like a small city. MOS think urbanistically through the architectural scale, insisting that even the smallest residential project speaks to a larger idea of ??the collective. But the idea if the city implied here is less the dense and fragmented metropolis of the early twentieth century, and more of the dispersed field-like condition of the late twentieth and twenty-first century city: more Los Angeles than New York or Berlin."

This book is the first catalogue of Yona Friedman as an artist. In fact, it presents for the first time the whole work of art of this pivotal figure, well-known as an architect and theorist since the 60s of the last century. The catalogue shows an extensive collection of visual materials, including images, cartoons and pictograms, drawn by Yona Friedman in order to replace the text with the image in his way of thinking. ''Drawing for my own pleasure meant that I enjoyed looking at my drawings, and so I pasted them on the walls of my home, of my studio, on furniture, and on the refrigerator. Indeed, I produced them as the personal landscape of my surroundings, even decorating the ceiling of my atelier at blvd Pasteur and my home at blvd. Garibaldi.''

The idea of architecture that the two young architects offer in this book is all contained within the axonometries which, like icons, open each of the projects they have chosen. Icons that didn't exist before this book and that become symbols of an architecture that could be defined as icastic. An architecture that describes itself, its forms and its elements in its essential features, in an immediate, memorable and self-referential way. The introductory text is by Enrico Molteni.

Architecture is not without the plastic play of light in the excavated space. On the basis of this simple and universal axiom, Dong Gong, founder of the Vector studio based in Beijing, has conducted a series of experiments since his debut in 2008, unscrupulously mixing languages of modernity with idiomatic expressions of a vernacular flavor, innovative materials and techniques. with craftsmanship and construction tradition. If contemporary is the one who establishes a "gap" with time, that is, they are able to operate in the present without being overwhelmed and subjected by it, Dong Gong, who in his architecture makes the past and the future interact, can define himself as an architect of contemporaneity.

This volume presents some recent works by the Spanish architect Fran Silvestre whose works are made up of a limited number of gestures, lines and volumes, avoiding discontinuity and seeking harmony between the parts. An architecture animated by the idea of essentiality, his practice of drawing and construction of models imply a reflection on detail and the search for continuity of the entire architectural organism, in which the colour white allows greater control of space, unifies the forms and allows for a better understanding.

Résumé:
The entanglement of physical contexts with digital environments is constantly changing our relationship with the surrounding space and creating new hybrid experiences. These transformations pose complex design challenges and yet offer novel opportunities for the understanding and development of human-centered built environments. Drawing from a 5-year design research collaboration between the REAL Lab at Harvard GSD and the University of Bergamo, this book unfolds the experiential facets of our technologically-mediated relationship with space in the fields of architecture, urbanism and art. The book attempts to describe what makes an environment "responsive" in the form of a design manifesto, introducing ten attributes or principles at both methodological and experiential levels. Critically articulated from the perspective of leading experts, scholars and professionals, the ideas explored are unpacked through speculative urban visions and design concepts at different timeframes, contexts and scales ranging from smart artifacts to smart cities.
