Description:
This project series documents the Tagore Theatre in Sector 18 in Chandigarh, India from 1960-1962. This project consisted of a 600-seat theatre comprised of two square-shaped volumes, turned on their axis to overlap at their corners. The stage was located directly at the overlap, with the back-of-house occupying one square and the audience in the other. Inside, the roof frame was left exposed and meticulous detail was paid to the theatre's acoustics. The building's brick exterior had almost no windows, except those located along the first-level below a canopy that wrapped the theatre. Large-scale alterations have since been made to the iconic theatre. The project is recorded through drawings and textual records dating from 1949-2001. The majority of the drawings are reprographic copies, but many are annotated. There are a number of drawings dating from 1999-2001 that likely show future work to the theatre, since they are outside the scope of the theatre's original construction. The textual records consist of research on theatre design, dating much earlier than this project, and a magazine review of the acoustics in the Tagore Theatre.

Description:
This project series documents a theatre for the J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages in Jammu, India from 1969-1973. The theatre consisted of two square shaped volumes, turned on their axis to overlap at their corners, with the stage located at the overlap. The building's exterior, faced in stone, was highlighted by three levels of verandas and showed the exposed roof frame. A free-standing cylindrical volume next to the main building served as the emergency exit, with spiral stairs wrapping its exterior. This project also included the design of furniture for the theatre, most notably the audience seats. Two additional buildings were proposed, an office block and an Institute of Music and Fine Arts, but they do not appear to have been built. The theatre was renamed the Abhinav Theatre soon after its completion. This project is recorded through drawings and correspondence dating from 1969-1973. The drawings are mostly originals and include plans, elevations, sections, details and furniture drawings.

Description:
This project series documents a house in Jammu, India around 1972. The project consisted of a two-storey, five bedroom home with a tower for water tanks. The porch at the home's entrance separated the main house from a round office volume. The home's exterior featured several curved walls, patterned with rubble, some of which curled into the house's interior. The project is recorded through working drawings of plans, elevations and sections, likely dating from around 1972. The titling on the drawings implies that the home was designed for a specific client, but the titles were left incomplete.

This project series documents an extension of the residence of Mr. KK Katyal in New Delhi around 1973. The project consisted of an extension to the back of the home, in between the existing home and garages, to create a duplex. This addition was three-storeys, with the top floor consisting of two stair enclosures, known as mumty, and a terrace that connected to the existing house. The project is recorded through drawings of plans, elevations, sections, details and astrology drawings of constellations. Reprographic copies of drawings were produced in 2000, although most of the drawings are originals, likely from around 1973. Although the purpose of the astrology drawings is not obvious, they were clipped together with materials for this project.
