José Queglas; a book series titled “Exit”; writings about the firm for an issue of 2G: International Architecture Review, no. 22; “Técnica y architectura en la ciudad contemporánea” by Abalos & Herreros; as well as various publications by Abalos & Herreros and other authors. “La Casa de Don Giovanni” by D. José Queglas was published at the LMI. Documenting the publication are copies of the doctoral thesis, dummies, proofs, correspondence, contracts, reports, and an ISBN (International Standard Book Number) request form. Material was produced between 1972 and 1996. The book series “Exit” was also published by the LMI. Five titles were published and a sixth was in development, when the project was abandoned for unknown reasons. The publications in the series were titled: Exit 1: Exit; Exit 2: Las Afueras : siete visiones de la vida metropolitana; Exit 3: Le Corbusier. In 1971, Parkin Architects Planners began work on the Health Sciences Complex located on MUN's north campus. This was a large teaching hospital that also contained the university's medical school. During the conception of the Health Sciences Complex, the Life Sciences Complex was proposed as a future expansion to the hospital. It would include MUN's life sciences department and additional hospital spaces related to those practices, such as pyscology. It is not clear from the materials in this project series whether Parkin Architects Planners proceeded with construction of the Life Sciences Complex. The project is recorded through a meeting report dating from 1972.

This subseries documents Blanche Lemco van Ginkel’s involvement in the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture Board (ACSA). During that period of activity with the ACSA, where Mrs. van Ginkel was a member and has occupied the positions of vice-president and president, she was involved in annual and board meetings, the Award Selection Committee, the Strategic Planning Committee, the Jubilee Committee for the “Journal of architectural education”, the conferences for the East Central, Northeast, West, and West Central regions, on task forces on the ACSA mission and on architectural education and practice, etc. Also documented is her attendance in several other meetings and conferences, among them the Five Presidents Meeting, the Administrators Conference, the Wingspread Presidents Meeting, the San Francisco Forum, the Chicago Forum, and the Fifth Technology Conference. The subseries documents as well correspondence between Mrs. van Ginkel, as president, and other institutions or associations, like the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, the Royal Architecture Institute of Canada, and the Canadian Housing Design Council.
