- Sheet has irregular edges, especially at l., and pinholes at corners. Repairs have been made to the t. corners. Smudging across sheet has been stabilized with an unknown fixative.

inscribed - by the draughtsman, in black conté crayon, c.: "court / canal / The Happening in the court of the Bienalle [sic] / opening on the building tiers and the raised / Terraces of the stage overlook the activity / in the court. The great doors are closed. The roof is / shown half closed. Every day a new event"; l.l.: "The FIVE major divisions of the / court facade are 30' on center. Flanking / them are the stair entrances and service passages / at the extreme ends. / The wide divisions are chosen to offer [illeg.] the non directional / slabs of the floors 30' x 30. and [illeg.] ideas for the enclosures / It would be possible to vary the facade of the 3 levels."; l.c.: "The Auditorium of Congress Hall / is like a long plaza with gentle / slope"; and l.c. to l.r.: "The reception-like a street with niches-At night / it becomes the Ball Room. At times the street exhibits / the spirit of the Congress / at times it is of procession / or of happening-then the niches are the places of the onlookers."
