Of findings of a major Review of Nova Scotia Town Planning Act by the Dept. of Municipal Affairs (1969). The report documents events that occured during the Review and experience that followed it. It includes an introduction to the Town Planning Act, a discussion of the nature & necessity of the planning process, the extent of planning activity as the Review began, prevailing attitudes toward the previous Act and ten shortcomings perceived in it, and some personal ideas of the author as to further improvements in the planning system it has generated.
