John Claude White spent twenty-one years as the first British office overseeing the British interests in Sikkim, Bhutan and Tibet. This book is a tribute to his love of the countryside and includes his memorable images: the panoramic photographs of the vast Tibetan landscape, the mountains and glaciers of Sikkim, monks and monasteries of Lhasa, portraits of the royal court in Bhutan.
