The book documents the papers presented during "O Municipo em Açao: elaboraçao e aplicabilidad de planos diretores" a seminar organized by PUC Campinas in June of 2005, in an event that draw together municipal administrators, researchers, architects, bank consultants and students who debated and shared their ideas and experiences as pioneer district who implemented the urban reforms decreed in the Estatuto da Cidade na Regiao metropolitana de Campinas, a state ruling that established that each of the municipalities of Sao Paulo had to elaborate and implement their directive urban plans before October of 2006.
