"The Co-operative Permanent Building Society is issuing, through Messrs. J. M. Dent, a series of pamphlets, of about 30 pages each and costing sixpence, under the general title Design for Britain. They are edited by Dr. Edwin Fairchild, who also contributes to the series. The broad aim is to show the part that building societies could and should take in " reconstructing" this country after the war, and to assist in educating public opinion respecting town, village and home planning.
