Competition to provide an enduring landmark structure to mark the millennium that will create an imaginative and innovative interpretation of the original Irish Gate, in Carlisle, England. The structure will form the southern abutment and provide access to a new footbridge across Castle Way linking the longest surviving length of City Wall (West Walls) with the wall extending from the west flank of the Castle, to which it was originally connected.
