Projet
AP206.S1.1985.PR01
Description:
This project series documents the residence of Shri Chandra Prakash Gupta in Saharanpur, India in 1985. The project consisted of a two-storey home with a smaller third storey tower. The home had a dining room, kitchen, drawing room and bedrooms on the two first floors. On top of the smaller third storey tower was an upward facing water tank that resembled a large trough. An elaborate boundary wall surrounded the property and featured a tall, arched gate. This wall, coupled with a front door panelled with rosette designs and windows with patterned grills, gave the home a distinct exterior. The project is recorded through original drawings consisting of floor plans, elevations, sections, details and furnishing drawings, and photographs and negatives of the finished home, dating from on or around 1985.

Description:
The project series documents the digitally created installation "Mother Nature" by Pettena in 2011. The project consists of a photograph of a rock formation on the edge of the water which was digitally modified to include a human figure nested in. "What is presented here in an almost didactic manner, by inserting a human figure into a setting prepared by nature, is the natural imbalance between the former and the infinite potentialities of the environment, which can only be known in part by someone who, accepting this situation of inferiority, makes use of it to acquire the capacity for a more conscious observation." [1] The project series contains drawings and photographs of the installation. Description:
The Northeast Polder Works for Wieringermeet initiated a contest for the design of a polder tower that would serve as a water tower and act as landmark to the empty polder area. Oud created one design that conformed to the competition guidelines and a second alternative one which he favoured. Project E was created according to the competition rules, while Motto E represented Oud's favoured design. Project E featured a carillon at the midway point of the tower; in Motto E, Oud instead placed the carillon at the top of the tower with the middle section as office space. Ultimately, the board declined all competition entries and assigned H. van Gent to the 1959 tower design (Taverne et al. 2001, 465). Project series includes a perspective drawing for Motto E of the polder tower.

Description:
This project series documents a housing study for Dr. Bhimrao Ambedker University in Lucknow, India around 1985. This project consisted of multi-storey buildings arranged in clusters. The buildings had three apartments on each floor and were joined to create common courtyards. Diamond shaped buildings with centre courtyards were also investigated for a different area of the campus, as well as a nursery school, shopping complex, administrative block and information tower. The architect also made recommendations to build facilities near the campus for recycling, waste water, vegetables and livestock, stating that doing so would avoid the natural occurrence of slums that served a similar purpose. The project is recorded through original drawings of site, floor and landscaping plans, as well as elevations and photographic negatives of the project model, likely dating from around 1985.
