Scope and Content

Series consists of original video tapes and original film footage made by or under the direction of Gordon Matta-Clark (1943-1978) along with copies and dubs in other formats including DVD.

The majority of the duplicate copies were made by or for Persistent Pictures, the film production company of Jane Crawford, Gordon Matta-Clark's widow, and her second husband, Robert Fiore, as they were responsible for the material following Matta-Clark's death. They ensured that copies of the originals were migrated from outdated formats (8 mm, Super-8, and 1/2 inch video tape) to more easily readable formats.

Series contains a ring binder, audio reels, audiocassettes, DVDs, film reels, film cassettes, video reels and videocassettes.
