Scope and Content

This project series documents the construction of a Royal Bank of Canada branch in Toronto from 1976-1977. The office identified the project number as 7612. Located at the corner of Yonge Street and Sherwood Avenue, this project included the demolition of the existing bank building to build a new one. The original bank vault was kept intact during the demolition to be integrated into the new building.

The project is recorded through drawings and textual records dating from 1976-1977. The textual records document the construction of the building and include correspondence, certificates of payments, interoffice letters, site reports, contract documents, change orders, supplementary instructions, consultancy records and specifications. All of the drawings are arranged within the textual materials.
