Scope and Content

File documents Aldo Rossi's participation to the exhibit "Documenta 8" in Kassel, Germany, held from June 12 to September 20, 1987. Ten architects were invited to design a small museum on the premise "The Art Museum: It's Reality and Future". Rossi's project was to be erected around a statue of Georg Kolbe, in a yard of Philipps University in Marburg, Germany. Material in this file was produced between 1986 and 1987.

File contains conceptual drawings, design development drawings and presentation drawings. File also contains textual records, including correspondence, an architect's report, a contract, invoices, Aldo Rossi's biography file, Aldo Rossi's publication, drawings and photographic material.
