London Festival of Architecture

The month-long London Festival of Architecture 2008 is now under way across the Atlantic. Billed as a “celebration and exploration of the city’s buildings, streets and spaces,” the festival functions like a biennale and brings together exhibitions, public installations, lectures and design workshops, along with a good share of city tours and parties.

With such an impressive range of programs and events, it’s not surprising to see marquee architects like Rem Koolhaas, Daniel Libeskind, and Cesar Pelli present lectures, but there is also an emphasis on discovering new talent, including work by emerging architectural studios and students.

The festival continues until 20 July.
